Closing the Bones Ceremony
A traditional Mexican ceremony for the postnatal period from 10 days to 30+ years
This sacred ritual is an important holding for Mothers of baby loss & Mothers of baby's earthside, it provides a calm ; safe space to come back to the body after stepping through the portal of motherhood. The ceremony begins with an all body massage followed by herbal bath in a make shift sweat lodge, then further sweating finishing with wrapping with rebozos. The ceremony will last approx. 5 hours. La Cerrade- celebrates the portal you has stepped through into Motherhood; gives an opportunity for a further processing of her story. The ceremony includes all the elements ; requires a surrendering to welcome in the ceremony. With perinatal mental health at an all-time low ancient rituals like this are vital to supporting Mothers through postpartum.
